Ok first of all I got to say personally I don’t
like tarts, but I know a lot of people loves tarts!!!! J I have not tried out
the tart recipes out there, so far i have made only the recipes that I have
come up with. This one I have made a few times and every time I have made it
who ever who had it loved it. So I thought to share it with everyone.
Do you know the history of pear – well this is
what I found in Wikipedia
The cultivation of the pear in cool temperate climates extends to the remotest
antiquity, and there is evidence of its use as a food since prehistoric times.
Many traces of it have been found in the Swiss lake-dwellings.
Recipe
- Recipe makes 6 serving
- Prep
time 15 mins
- Cook
time 30 mins
Ingredients
½ Cup Condense milk 2 Egg yolks
2 Extra Large Eggs
¼ cup heavy cream
2 Pears cut into slices
¼ cup of almond slices1 tsp almond extract
Few Amaretto cookies (you can have extra for garnish)
1 Store bought pie crust
Directions
1.
Whisk
together the condense milk, heavy cream, almond flavor, egg yolks and eggs.
2.
Preheat
an oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Set out an 8-inch tart pan, or, if
you'll be making a free-form tart lightly grease a baking sheet.
3.
Transfer
the pie crust to tart pan or baking sheet. Arrange the pear slices decoratively
in the tart pastry. If you're baking the tart on a baking sheet, leave a 2-inch
rim of dough and fold it up over the edge of the fruit.
4.
Pour
the egg mixture over the pears. Add almond slices and crushed amaretto cookies
over the tart.
5.
Bake
the tart in the preheated oven until the crust is browned and the filling is
bubbly, about 30 minutes. Remove the tart from the oven and brush it with the
apricot jam and garnish it with amaretto cookies.
6.
You
can serve this with vanilla ice cream or fresh cream.
