Coconut Steam Cake






Very simple recipe for a dinner party or for tea. You can bake this cake in one big ramekin or in individual small ramekins. 

Coconut Steam Cake
Recipe
  • Recipe makes 10 serving
  • Prep time 15 mins
  • Cook time 1.15 hours
 
Ingredients
1 Cup self rising flour
½ Cup Light brown or dark brown sugar
2 Eggs
1 cup coconut milk
¼ cup coconut flakes
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
1.     Whisk all the ingredients together.
2.     Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Set out an 8-inch ramekin or individual ramekins lightly grease.
3.     Pour the batter into the ramekins and place the ramekins into a large cake pan or roasting pan. Pour enough hot water into the pan to come halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Cover the pan with a foil to crate steam and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
4.     You can serve this with honey or maple syrup.
